The mooring spring
The spring is highly resistant to marine corrosion and perfectly adaptable to different stress loads.
The wide dimensional range, is calibrated and performs well for all types of vessels.
Description
The overall damping, at 60-70%, is given by the compression of the spring made of a special stainless steel alloy with high elasticity. Under conditions of higher stress, the Mollaflex-Elastomer component intervenes.
In case of failure of the steel spring, by the end of its technical cycle, the action of the Mollaflex-Elastomer component intervenes, which continues to perform its cushioning function, preventing possible accidents and damage that the boat may suffer if not properly moored, in rough conditions.
It is very important to note, therefore, that this Mollaflex-Elastomer component not only greatly increases the damping load, along with the mechanical work of the spring, which is already very elastic, but can replace the spring in the case illustrated above.
For the correct evaluation of the mooring spring to be purchased, relate the weight of the boat to the value of the breaking load reduced by 30-40%.
It is recommended to use the model of the upper range , when you are at the limit of the range.
