New EPIRB from GME that stands at the top of the range. 66-channel GPS, prepared to operate with satellites of the new MEOSAR constellation. In two versions, IA0441 without release housing and IA0442 with automatic activation (category1) where the epirb is placed in a housing with a door that opens automatically when the hydrostatic hook senses water pressure. At that moment the EPIRB is jolted out of the casing and once it rises to the surface it activates the transmission of the emergency signal. This mechanism is the result of decades of study by GME to ensure its perfect operation even in conditions that are not particularly smooth. The use of the new MEOSAR satellite constellation ensures that COSPAS-SARSAT rescue coordination is able to detect the location of the castaway accurately, even if it has been unable to detect GPS coordinates from the distress message sent by the EPIRB.
