The VAN STAAL VS Series is not just a reel but a true work of art combining the highest expression of technique and design currently available on the market. It is a true masterpiece, the reel that has made Van Stall reliability legendary, the most powerful and durable ever! Available in versions with and without a bow, in silver or black color. The structure machined entirely from 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum monoblocks is machined with the best CNC machining machinery. This avoided the use of any kind of casting or welding thus making the structure free of any defects. The shaft is oversized, made of titanium-coated stainless steel, the gears have an exclusive spiral toothing, exclusive to VAN STAAL, which allows it to have a smoother and more powerful recovery. It also uses an exclusive oil bath lubrication system that makes the gears virtually eternal because they are continuously lubricated. The gear body is of course totally sealed and requires no maintenance. It can continue to work safely even under complete immersion in seawater, the clutch compartment is also watertight making the powerful clutch perform 100% at all times, thanks also to the 2 support bearings on the shaft. Coils are carefully arranged in the spool during retrieval thanks to VAN STAAL's exclusive FlatWrap technology. A crank handle with large lever and knob, also CNC machined from the same aluminum as the body, was applied to take 100% advantage of the reel. 7 stainless steel bearings with shielded pair are supporting the mechanics in the critical parts of the reel, the large roller bearing on the other hand perfects the infinite antireverse, completely backlash-free. The 200 and 250 size is perfect for common size tuna in both vertical jigging and spinning while the 275 version is the heavyweight of the series, only available without bow, suitable for oversize tuna. VS=without bow-VSB=with bow.
