Two types of survival gear are available depending on the expected time the victim can spend in the raft waiting for rescue: the standard one, without drinking water and food, if rescue forces are expected within 24 hours of being at sea; the emergency one, which also includes water and food, if rescue forces are expected beyond 24 hours of being at sea.
