Description
4 Options for Providing GPS Position
Thanks to the built-in GPS receiver, the Link-9 radio offers four options for providing GPS position in an emergency: built-in antenna, SMA connector for GPS-500 antenna, NMEA 0183 for GPS chartplotter, and NMEA 2000® for network antenna connection.
Integrated AIS
A two-channel AIS receiver monitors the position of nearby AIS-equipped vessels, helping to avoid possible collisions in crowded harbors and inland waterways. AIS information can be displayed on the Link-9 radio's built-in screen or overlayed on the chart or radar screen using a compatible multifunction display.
Remotely MountableErgonomic Grip Microphone
The Link-9 radio's removable ergonomic grip microphone can be attached to the front or rear of the radio. Optional extension cables allow the radio and microphone to be installed separately. This provides a simple and cost-effective solution for any installation location without cable tangles.
Simplified front-mount installation
The Link-9 radio has two removable bezels, one top and one bottom, that show the mounting holes allowing you to follow the same installation style as MFDs Lowrance.
Navigation mode
Press the NAV button on the Link-9 radio to turn it into a navigation tool that displays speed and track. The Link-9 radio also includes a MOB (Man Overboard) function. Press and hold the NAV/MOB button to send a waypoint to your current position, then the Link-9 radio will activate MOB mode to show where you are and where you need to turn to get back to the person overboard position. The MOB waypoint is also transmitted via NMEA 2000 to the rest of the network.
